Thresholds of Wisdom...

Thresholds are new points of beginning. The beginning often holds the hint to everything that follows. By the time we reach the second half of our lives, we may have learned that when we let go of one way of understanding and being in the world, we have the hope of starting anew, starting fresh and seeing the world through eyes that now contain a depth of perception to illuminate our true purpose in the world.
As one who has entered into thresholds that guaranteed nothing other than the prospect of an unwearied way of seeing, I have experienced the deep well existent within from which to draw and gather strength for my next steps. It is a welcome surprise to learn that our well is a bottomless source of flow, providing a continuous progression for an abundance of presence.
Welcome to Thresholds of Wisdom and The Atelier. Stay here as long as you like...visit as often as you want. Contained within are possibilities for you to participate in workshops and retreats that I design, and lead. I'll keep you informed of where my retreats and workshops take place, provide poetry to soothe our souls, and offer a personal invitation to dwell a spell in my writing studio named The Atelier....
The English author, Virginia Woolf said this:
"Every secret of a writer's soul, every experience of his life, every quality of his mind is written large in his works."
Let me know how I may assist you -- whether on a private group basis for one day, or, for longer stays, as writer-in-residence leading a retreat at your spa resort, or healing hotel. It could be any sanctuary for the contemplation of inner wisdom that offers a "soft landing" to all participants. I will personally design a retreat experience for the refreshment and renewal of spirit offering discovery of the language of soul, through no less than "listening with the ears of your heart."
If we do not take the time in the second half of our lives to transport our spirits to places of illumination, then when will we make the time? It is in the second half of our lives that we need remember who we truly are and recover the mystery that is within each one of us. Everyone has a great gift for creativity. It is up to you, to care enough, to discover your gift.
We live in a time when so much is asked of us that it often feels as if there simply isn't enough time to take a full and deep breath to calm the mind of all the inner chatter. Pausing long enough to notice the invisible embrace of your own stillness, will lead you to the entrance of your threshold of wisdom...just in time.

"Again and again, I return to the quiet within as the place to linger and learn so that I may know who to bring out in the world for my next engagement. Dwelling for a spell in that quiet place reminds me of who I am....
My every thought uttered in a word and my every action in all that I do must be a reflection of my spiritual message. My word is my bond; my thoughts are my longings from the center of heart to the whole of soul. My action is spirit in motion."
